Inside the Role

Selling cars at a single-franchise store is a product job before it is a persuasion job. There are twelve current Mazda models and you are expected to know them.

What the Work Is

Understanding what somebody needs the vehicle to do, walking the lineup with them, arranging and running test drives, handling trade-in conversations, and seeing a purchase through the paperwork with the business office.

What You Bring

Patience, straight answers and the discipline to follow up. Product knowledge is learnable and we expect you to learn it. A clean driving licence, because you will be driving customer and store vehicles.

Who It Suits

Somebody who would rather explain than pressure. The store sells to a repeat market on the Gulf Coast and the people you sell to come back through the service drive, so the short-term version of this job does not work here.

How to Put Your Name Forward

Three ways in. Whichever you use, tell us this is the role you are asking about.

Send the Form

The form below reaches the store directly. Say which role you are asking about and anything about your experience you want us to know.

Come In

You are welcome to come in during sales hours and ask. Hours and the route in are on the hours and directions page.

Call

Call the store and ask for the department the role sits in.

By submitting, you agree to be contacted by Dean McCrary Mazda by phone, email, or text. We never sell your information.

Auto Sales Jobs in Mobile, AL

One lineup, known properly

A single-franchise store means you learn one manufacturer’s range instead of six partially. Twelve current models, their trims and what actually separates them is a body of knowledge you can genuinely master, and customers notice when you have.

A repeat market

Much of the traffic through the service drive is people the store sold to. That shapes how the sales floor works: a customer you handled badly is a customer you will see again in six months, standing at the service counter.

Role Questions

Do I need car sales experience?

Not necessarily. People come into this from other sales and service work and do well. Tell us what you have done and what you are looking for.

What is the hardest part?

Following up consistently with people who are not ready yet. Most of the job is that.

Will I be expected to know the products?

Yes. Twelve current models, their trims and their differences — that is the homework, and it is what makes the conversation useful to a shopper.

What does this role pay, and what does it come with?

That is a conversation rather than a line on a web page, and it depends on the role and on your experience. We would rather discuss it properly than publish something that turns out not to apply to you.
