Four things worth knowing before you read the campaign lists below.
An Open Campaign Is Not a Verdict
A recall campaign covers a range of vehicles the manufacturer believes may carry a defect — not every vehicle of that model and year. Your VIN is what says whether yours is one of them, and it is the only answer worth acting on.
The Repair Is Free
Recall work on a Mazda is performed at no charge to the owner. That holds whether you bought the vehicle from Dean McCrary Mazda, from another dealership, or privately.
Parts Availability Can Lag the Notice
A campaign is sometimes announced before the remedy parts reach dealerships. If that is the case for your vehicle, we will tell you plainly and put you on the list rather than book a visit that cannot be completed.
Recall Work Is Not Maintenance
A recall repair does not replace scheduled maintenance, and scheduled maintenance does not close a recall. If your vehicle is due for both, our service team can handle them in the same visit.

How do I find out whether my Mazda has an open recall?⌄
By VIN. The lists on this page tell you which campaigns exist for a nameplate; only a VIN tells you whether a particular vehicle is included in one. What does a recall repair cost?⌄
Nothing. Recall work on a Mazda is performed at no charge to the owner, and that does not depend on where the vehicle was bought or how long you have owned it. If our technicians find something outside the recall while the vehicle is with us, we will tell you about it separately and you decide what happens next.

Can you do the recall work if I did not buy my Mazda here?⌄

What if the parts are not available yet?⌄
It happens — a campaign is sometimes announced before the remedy is in dealer stock. Call us with the VIN and we will tell you whether the repair can be completed now or whether we should put you on the list and call you when the parts land. Where a campaign carries interim guidance from the manufacturer, we will pass that on to you exactly as it was issued.
I already had the recall done somewhere else. Do I need it again?⌄
No. Once a campaign is completed on a VIN it is closed against that VIN in the manufacturer's records, even though the campaign itself stays listed in the federal database for every other affected vehicle. Give us the VIN and we can confirm what has already been done.
Does a recall repair affect my warranty coverage?⌄
No. Recall work is manufacturer-directed repair carried out by a Mazda dealership, so it sits alongside your factory coverage rather than against it. It is also separate from scheduled maintenance — closing a recall does not push out your next service interval.
