The CX-90 and the CX-90 Plug-In Hybrid are the lineup’s three-row SUVs. The gas CX-90 seats up to 8 with the second-row bench, or 7 with captain’s chairs; the Plug-In Hybrid seats up to 7, one fewer in every configuration because of where its battery sits. Everything else seats 5, except the two roadsters, which seat 2.

One hybrid — the CX-50 Hybrid, EPA-rated 38 mpg combined — and two plug-in hybrids: the CX-70 Plug-In Hybrid at 32 miles of electric-only range and the CX-90 Plug-In Hybrid at 27 miles. All three carry i-ACTIV AWD® standard on every trim. There is no fully electric model in the current lineup.
Is all-wheel drive standard on a new Mazda?⌄
On every CX, yes. i-ACTIV AWD® is standard on every trim of the CX-30, CX-5, CX-50, CX-70 and CX-90, and on the CX-50 Hybrid and both plug-in hybrids — there is no front-wheel-drive version of any of them and no all-wheel-drive upcharge to add. The Mazda3 Sedan and Mazda3 Hatchback are front-wheel drive with i-ACTIV AWD® standard on two of their five trims, and the MX-5 Miata is rear-wheel drive with no all-wheel-drive option at any trim.
