The Severe Table Is Marked in Four-Month Steps
Mazda prints this model year’s Schedule 2 columns as 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40, 44 and 48 months against 5,000, 10,000, 15,000, 20,000, 25,000, 30,000, 35,000, 40,000, 45,000, 50,000, 55,000 and 60,000 miles. Every later CX-3 runs the same mileages against six-month steps, so the fixed engine oil row here is every 5,000 miles or 4 months where later books print 6 months for the same mileage. The mileage half is stable across the boundary and the month half is not, which is the kind of difference a borrowed schedule hides completely.
Puerto Rico Is Routed to Schedule 2
Mazda prints, for this model year: if any of the severe conditions apply, follow Schedule 2, and Canada and Puerto Rico residents follow Schedule 2. Both Schedule 1 tables are headed U.S.A. residents rather than U.S.A. and Puerto Rico residents, and the severe table carries a Puerto-Rico-scoped air filter row of its own. The Tire Rotation Is a Fixed Interval
On the flexible Schedule 1 Mazda prints: rotate every 8,000 km (5,000 miles). Every later CX-3 flexible table performs the rotation at the oil change with a ceiling instead, which is a different instruction rather than a different number.
There Is No Emergency Flat Tire Repair Kit Row
None of this model year’s three U.S. tables prints one, and no repair-fluid footnote appears either. The following model year adds the row with an annual inspection. Whether this car has no kit or the row was simply not printed is not established, so nothing is carried backwards onto this page.

Repeated short-distance driving; driving in dusty conditions; driving with extended use of brakes; driving in areas where salt or other corrosive materials are used; driving on rough or muddy roads; extended periods of idling or low-speed operation; driving for long periods in cold temperatures or extremely humid climates; driving in extremely hot conditions; driving in mountainous conditions continually. It Is the Whole Car, Not One Row
On this car a single condition moves the entire schedule to Schedule 2 — the oil, the disc brakes and every chassis row with it. Mazda’s newer books do something different and map each condition to specific items, leaving every other row on its normal interval. Mazda prints, for this model year: engine oil flexible maintenance is available for U.S.A. residents whose vehicle is operated mainly where none of the listed conditions apply, and it gives the fixed alternative its own full Schedule 1 table. Puerto Rico Is Not on the Normal Table
Mazda routes Canada and Puerto Rico residents to Schedule 2 outright on this model year, and prints a separate Puerto-Rico-scoped air filter row inside the severe table. Schedule 2 — Severe Driving

Every 5,000 Miles or 4 Months
Engine oil and filter on the fixed basis, engine coolant level, brake and clutch fluid level, tire inflation pressure and tire wear, function of all lights, all locks and hinges lubricated, and washer fluid level. The mileage is the one every later CX-3 prints; the four-month half belongs to this model year alone.
Every 15,000 Miles or 12 Months
Disc brakes, marked at every third column of this model year’s twelve. Its normal tables inspect them every 10,000 miles on the flexible table and every 15,000 miles on the fixed one, so the severe figure is not simply the shorter of the three — which is why each is stated against its own table.
Every 30,000 Miles or 24 Months
Fuel lines and hoses, brake lines, hoses and connections, steering operation and linkages, front and rear suspension with ball joints and wheel bearing axial play, driveshaft dust boots, and the bolts and nuts on the chassis and body, which are tightened rather than inspected.
The Longer Severe Rows
At 35,000 miles or 28 months, once — drive belts, and the air filter row scoped to U.S.A. severe driving conditions. At 60,000 miles or 48 months, once — hoses and tubes for emission. Spark plugs and engine coolant carry the same sentences the normal tables print, and the cabin air filter is printed as replace every 40,000 km (25,000 miles).
