Two Different Propositions, Not One
The CX-50 Hybrid needs no plug and no change in habit: it charges its own battery while you drive and returns an EPA-estimated 38 mpg combined. The CX-70 and CX-90 Plug-In Hybrids add a larger battery you charge, which covers a normal day’s driving here on electricity and then runs as a hybrid. If you cannot charge where you park, the hybrid is the honest answer.

Every new Mazda carries a New Vehicle Limited Warranty of 3 years or 36,000 miles and a Powertrain Limited Warranty of 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. Both are the manufacturer’s own terms and both come with the vehicle.
