2026 Mazda CX-50 Trims, Specs & Colors
i-ACTIV AWD® and an Off-Road drive mode standard on every trim, with towing that nearly doubles when you step up to the turbocharged engine. This page covers the CX-50 lineup end to end — every trim, what changed this year, powertrain and efficiency, cabin and capability, cargo and towing, and the full color palette.
CX-50 Trims & MSRP
MSRP includes destination and delivery. Excludes tax, title, license, a $895 dealer documentary service fee and a $16.50 tag fee.
What’s New This Model Year
The CX-50 is Mazda’s trail-leaning compact crossover, and it is assembled in Huntsville, Alabama — about five hours up I-65 from this showroom. The changes this model year are cosmetic rather than mechanical: a white interior option and black exterior badging join the equipment list. Dean McCrary Mazda stocks the lineup on the I-65 Service Road in Mobile.
A White Interior Option
A white interior joins the CX-50 options list this model year, alongside the existing choices. It is an addition to the range rather than a replacement for anything the outgoing car offered.
Black Mazda Emblems and Badging
Black emblems and badging are added to the CX-50 equipment list this model year, extending the darkened treatment beyond the Meridian Edition trims.
All-Wheel Drive and Off-Road Mode on Every Trim
i-ACTIV AWD® and Mazda Intelligent Drive Select, with its Sport and Off-Road modes, are standard from the 2.5 S Select through the 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus. There is no front-wheel-drive CX-50.
Seven Trims, Two Engines
Four trims run the naturally aspirated engine and three run the turbocharged one, with a Meridian Edition on each side of that split. The engine is what moves the tow rating, so it is worth choosing before the equipment.
Two Engines, Two Tow Ratings
Every CX-50 drives all four wheels, so the drivetrain is the same whichever trim you choose. The engine is not, and it takes the tow rating with it — 2,000 lb on the naturally aspirated trims and 3,500 lb on the turbocharged ones.

Safety & Technology
Equipment below is listed with the trim it arrives on, because most of it is not standard across the ladder. Availability can change during a model year — confirm the equipment on a specific vehicle with our team before you buy.
Off-Road and Sport Drive Modes
Mazda Intelligent Drive Select, with Sport and Off-Road modes, is standard from the base trim. It is the feature that separates the CX-50 from the CX-5 more than any styling cue does.
The Trail Package on the Standard Engine
The Meridian Edition adds the CX-50’s trail-focused equipment without stepping up to the turbocharged engine, which is why it prices between the Preferred and the Premium rather than above them.
The 3,500-Lb Tow Rating Starts Here
Towing rises from 2,000 lb to 3,500 lb with the turbocharged engine, properly equipped with Towing Mode and a genuine Mazda hitch. Every trim from the 2.5 Turbo up carries it.
Trail Equipment and the Turbocharged Engine
The second Meridian Edition pairs the same trail-focused equipment with the turbocharged engine and the higher tow rating.
The Full Equipment List
The flagship trim carries the turbocharged engine, the higher tow rating and the complete comfort and technology list at the top of the seven-step ladder.
Dimensions & Capability
A five-passenger compact crossover, longer and wider than the CX-5 it sits beside in the lineup. Seating and cargo are the same on every trim; the tow rating is not.
Five Passengers
Two rows, five seats. The CX-50 shares its class with the CX-5 and is the trail-leaning half of that pair; the CX-50 Hybrid is a separate model with its own page.
31.4 Cu Ft Behind the Rear Seat
31.4 cu ft with the rear seat upright and 56.3 cu ft with it folded.
2,000 or 3,500 Lb, by Engine
2,000 lb on the naturally aspirated trims and up to 3,500 lb on the turbocharged ones, properly equipped with Towing Mode and a genuine Mazda hitch.
3-Yr/36,000 & 5-Yr/60,000
A 3-year/36,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty, standard on every new Mazda.
CX-50 Exterior Colors
Colors shown are the national palette Mazda publishes for this model year. Availability varies by trim and by what is on the ground — tap a color to see the matching CX-50 inventory, or ask our team what is in transit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is all-wheel drive standard on every CX-50 trim?⌄
Yes. i-ACTIV AWD® is standard from the 2.5 S Select through the 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus, along with Mazda Intelligent Drive Select’s Sport and Off-Road modes. There is no front-wheel-drive CX-50.
How much can a CX-50 tow?⌄
Up to 3,500 lb on the turbocharged trims with Towing Mode and a genuine Mazda hitch, and 2,000 lb on the naturally aspirated trims. The engine is what moves the rating, not the equipment package.
What is the difference between the 2.5 S and 2.5 Turbo engines?⌄
The 2.5 S makes 187 hp on regular fuel and powers four of the seven trims. The 2.5 Turbo makes up to 256 hp on recommended premium fuel — 227 hp on regular — and powers the 2.5 Turbo, the 2.5 Turbo Meridian Edition and the 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus.
Why does this page not show a price for every CX-50 trim?⌄
Because we will not publish a figure we cannot confirm twice over. One destination charge in the research sheet behind this page does not follow the pattern of the others, and the marker that flags it covers the whole table, so every trim reads "MSRP available at the dealership" until it is signed off. Ask us and we will quote the current figure on a specific vehicle.
Is the CX-50 the same as the CX-50 Hybrid?⌄
No. The CX-50 Hybrid is a separate model line with its own powertrain, trims and figures — none of the horsepower, cargo or towing numbers on this page apply to it.
What warranty coverage comes with a new CX-50?⌄
A 3-year/36,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty, standard on every new Mazda.
How far is Dean McCrary Mazda from Daphne, Pascagoula & Pensacola?⌄
We are on the I-65 Service Road in Mobile. Daphne is about 20 minutes east over the bay, Pascagoula about 40 minutes west in Mississippi, and Pensacola about an hour east in Florida. We serve the whole Gulf Coast.
