CX-90 Trims & MSRP
CX-90 Trims in Detail
MSRP includes destination and delivery. Excludes tax, title, license, a $895 dealer documentary service fee and a $16.50 tag fee.
What’s New This Model Year
The CX-90 is Mazda’s three-row flagship, and it is built around a turbocharged inline-six rather than the V6 its segment usually runs. Six trims, two states of tune, all-wheel drive on every one, and a tow rating that steps up part-way along the ladder. Dean McCrary Mazda stocks the lineup on the I-65 Service Road in Mobile.
An Inline-Six in a Three-Row SUV
The 3.3 Turbo makes 280 hp on regular fuel and powers four trims; the 3.3 Turbo S makes up to 340 hp on recommended premium fuel and powers the two S trims. There is no V6 and no four-cylinder in this lineup.
Up to Eight, Across Three Rows
Most trims seat eight with the standard second-row bench; optional captain’s chairs reduce that to seven, and the 3.3 Turbo S Premium Plus seats seven as standard because those chairs are standard on it.
All-Wheel Drive on Every Trim
i-ACTIV AWD® is standard from the 3.3 Turbo Select through the 3.3 Turbo S Premium Plus. There is no front-wheel-drive CX-90 and no all-wheel-drive upcharge to add.
Six Trims, and a Tow Rating That Moves
The Select and Preferred tow 3,500 lb; from the Premium Sport upward, Towing Mode is standard and the rating rises to 5,000 lb. That step matters more than any styling difference if you tow.
One Inline-Six, Two States of Tune
Every CX-90 drives all four wheels through the same 3.3-liter turbocharged inline-six architecture. What changes across the ladder is how hard that engine is tuned, so read the two engine cards with the trims they name.

Safety & Technology
Equipment below is listed with the trim it arrives on, because most of it is not standard across the ladder. Availability can change during a model year — confirm the equipment on a specific vehicle with our team before you buy.
i-ACTIV AWD® and Eight-Passenger Seating
All-wheel drive and the second-row bench are standard from the base trim, so the eight-seat configuration is available at the bottom of the ladder as well as the top.
Where Towing Mode Becomes Standard
Mi-Drive Towing Mode is standard from the Premium Sport upward, and it is what takes the tow rating from 3,500 lb to 5,000 lb.
The Full List on the Standard Engine
The Premium Plus carries the fuller comfort and materials list while keeping the 280-hp 3.3 Turbo — the trim to look at if equipment matters more to you than output.
Where the 340-HP Tune Starts
The first of the two S trims is where the engine steps up to 340 hp on recommended premium fuel and 369 lb-ft of torque, on the same three-row body.
Captain’s Chairs and Nappa Leather, Standard
The flagship is the only CX-90 where second-row captain’s chairs and console are standard rather than optional, in Nappa leather with ventilated second-row seats and the Driver Personalization System.
The Blackout Exterior Package
A full blackout treatment — piano-black grille mesh, badging, wheels and roof rails — plus the Induction Sound Enhancer, standard on the flagship and not offered below it.
Dimensions & Capability
A three-row midsize SUV. Seating varies with the second-row configuration and towing varies with the trim, so both are stated with the trims they apply to.
Up to Eight Passengers
Eight with the standard second-row bench, seven with optional captain’s chairs, and seven on the 3.3 Turbo S Premium Plus, where those chairs are standard. The two-row CX-70 is the same platform without the third row.
3,500 or 5,000 Lb, by Trim
3,500 lb on the 3.3 Turbo Select and Preferred; 5,000 lb from the Premium Sport upward, where Mi-Drive Towing Mode is standard.
25 MPG Combined
23 mpg city and 28 mpg highway, EPA-rated, and the same on both states of tune. If you want to plug in, the CX-90 Plug-In Hybrid is a separate model.
3-Yr/36,000 & 5-Yr/60,000
A 3-year/36,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty, standard on every new Mazda.
